The facade is the first thing seen from outside and the first thing to suffer from the weather – wind-driven rain, freeze-thaw cycles, UV, and seasonal movement crack render, peel paint, and let moisture reach the load-bearing structure. We install external wall insulation systems (SFS/ETICS) with rockwool or EPS boards, mesh-reinforce the surface with fibreglass fabric, and finish in silicone, silicate, or acrylic decorative plaster in any NCS or RAL shade. Where the architecture calls for it we build ventilated facades with fibre-cement, HPL, metal, or timber cladding on aluminium or timber sub-frames, with continuous rockwool insulation and a drained cavity behind.
Existing facades get diagnosis first – crack mapping, moisture probing, and adhesion testing – followed by targeted repair: removing loose render, stitching structural cracks, priming, skimming, and repainting with high-build masonry paints. Every site is scaffolded and netted to protect passers-by, window frames and sills are masked, and the finished wall is delivered straight, uniform in colour, and weatherproof for a new decade.
What our facade works include
External wall insulation with the ETICS system – rockwool or EPS boards are adhesive-fixed and mechanically anchored to the substrate, reinforced with fibreglass mesh in two coats, and finished with decorative plaster. Around windows and doors we fit reinforcing corner beads and drip edges; the plinth gets a starter profile with a water-drainage channel.
Ventilated facades – sub-frame in aluminium or thermally modified timber, continuous rockwool insulation, wind-barrier membrane, and a finish layer in fibre-cement (Cembrit, Swisspearl), HPL laminate (Trespa, Fundermax), sheet metal (zinc, aluminium), or timber battens (thermo pine, larch). The vented cavity keeps the wall dry and multiplies the service life.
Decorative plaster on silicone, silicate, or acrylic base – with coarse, medium, or fine texture, a grooved "barashek" finish, or a smooth trowelled surface. Silicone plasters are hydrophobic and self-cleaning, silicates are vapour-open and suited to masonry walls, acrylics offer the widest colour range.
Facade painting – high-build masonry paints (Tikkurila, Sadolin, Vivacolor), silicate and silicone paints suitable for older apartment buildings, churches, and heritage-listed properties. The surface is pressure-washed, loose material is removed, cracks are repaired, and the primer is applied before layered topcoats.
Old facade repair and substrate preparation
Every job starts with an inspection from scaffolding – we rate crack widths, separate shallow shrinkage cracks from structural fractures, measure moisture content, and test adhesion with tapping and pull-off samples. A report with photo documentation is part of our fixed-price quote.
Structural cracks are stitched with stainless steel spiral anchors and filled with elastic repair mortar. Loose layers of old paint or render are stripped by sandblasting or pressure washing. Lime-cement substrates are patched with compatible mortar, and primer is selected to match the absorbency of the old surface.
Scaffolding is erected to code, safety nets and dust screens protect windows, sills, and the neighbours' grounds. At completion we wash down the surroundings, clean out stormwater gullies, and restore any disturbed landscaping. We hand over a written facade warranty and a care manual that helps keep the wall in good condition for the next 15–25 years.
