Behind the plaster sits a system of conduits, cable trays, junction boxes, earthing conductors, and terminations that has to be designed, routed, and connected correctly the first time — because opening finished walls to fix mistakes is disruptive and expensive. Getting it right means planning each circuit to the expected load, routing cables in protected paths, labelling every conductor, and proving the whole system through measurements before any of it is covered up.

What the Work Includes
First-fix rough-in: marking out socket and switch positions with the client, chasing walls, installing conduits and deep back-boxes, laying cable trays above suspended ceilings, and pulling all power, data, and low-voltage cables to the distribution panel location. We use only halogen-free cables where code requires them and protect every exposed conductor before any plastering begins.
Distribution panel and protection: assembly and wiring of consumer units with correctly sized MCBs, 30 mA RCDs on wet-area and outdoor circuits, Type 2 surge protection, and neatly labelled circuit directories. Earthing and bonding is installed to the metal water and gas entries, the panel enclosure, and any extraneous conductive parts that require bonding.
Second-fix, testing, and hand-over: mounting of sockets, switches, luminaires, thermostats, sensors, and any smart-home controllers; termination of data and TV points; full circuit testing — continuity, insulation resistance, loop impedance, RCD trip times — and issuing a signed measurement protocol, conformity declaration, and as-built drawing set for the building file.
