Drywall Works
Professional drywall works in Tallinn and Harju County – partition walls, suspended and multi-level ceilings, niches, alcoves, TV feature walls, acoustic rooms, and full Q2–Q4 skim finishing for apartments, houses, offices, and commercial spaces.
Drywall is the fastest and cleanest way to reshape rooms inside a building – a new partition, a suspended ceiling, hidden services, niches, arches, and built-in shelving appear without concrete dust and without long drying pauses. The Torudeabi 24 drywall team builds steel stud frames, installs GKB, GKBI (moisture-resistant) and GKF (fire-resistant) plasterboard, tapes every joint with fibre-mesh, and skims the surface ready for paint or wallpaper.
Every job begins with a laser measurement – the new wall line or ceiling level is marked, then UW- and CW-profiles are bedded on acoustic isolation tape at a strict 600 or 625 mm pitch so the boards sit stress-free and crack-free. Acoustic insulation is added with rockwool or glasswool; where required, double-layer board and a double-stud cavity keep noise out from the neighbouring flat or stairwell.
We skim in three coats – setting, filler, and finish – each coat sanded until the future paint reveals no seams and no screw heads. In wet rooms (bathrooms, utility rooms) we fit moisture-resistant GKBI board with an elastic waterproofing membrane and corner reinforcement, ready for tiling. Before work starts we run a free site survey and issue a fixed-price quote with a firm completion date.
What our drywall works include
Plasterboard partition walls on steel stud – single or double-layer, with acoustic insulation and plumbing or electrical runs inside the cavity, ready for paint or wallpaper. A double-stud cavity with two layers of board reaches 50–60 dB, enough to separate a bedroom from a living room or to build an acoustically isolated music room.
Suspended ceilings, including multi-level designs, with precise cut-outs for LED downlights, sprinklers, and ventilation, plus concealed LED strip lighting and curtain pelmets. We use spring-clip hangers that absorb slab irregularities and vibration from the structure above.
Built-in niches for shelves and TV, flush "wall-line" hidden doors, arches, TV and feature walls, and acoustically isolated home cinemas and music rooms. Every niche is set out so the future cabinet, TV, or appliance drops in to the millimetre.
Levelling of existing walls and ceilings – a crooked limestone or Soviet-era plastered wall becomes perfectly flat under a plasterboard overlay, without wet plastering, without long drying times, and without taking the room out of use for weeks.
Skimming, finishing, and transitions
Joint taping with fibre-mesh, two-coat coverage of screw heads, corner protection with aluminium or paper-faced beads. Each coat is sanded with a vacuum-connected sander, so dust does not spread through the rest of the occupied space.
Q2–Q4 skim classes – Q2 for standard rooms and surfaces hidden behind furniture, Q3 for fine wallpaper and smooth paint, Q4 for gloss-critical rooms with side light, enamel, or mirror-finish lacquers where every seam would otherwise show.
Transitions to tile, parquet, and other surfaces – elastic sealants, decorative profiles, and expansion joints that resist cracking from the natural settlement of the building and from the temperature cycles of underfloor heating.
