A dishwasher is a tightly-packed intersection of plumbing, heating, and electronics. Water enters under mains pressure through an inlet valve and aquastop hose, fills the sump, is heated by an element or flow heater, sprayed through rotating arms under pressure from a circulation pump, then drained through a filter and drain pump while the control board monitors temperature, water level, and turbidity. A fault anywhere in that chain often produces the same symptom from the outside – dishes come out dirty, the cycle never finishes, or water sits in the bottom of the tub – so swapping spare parts without a diagnostic is an expensive way to solve the wrong problem.

What We Repair on Site
Water-side faults: blocked drain pumps and filters, leaking door seals, cracked or kinked inlet and drain hoses, faulty inlet valves and aquastop assemblies that either will not fill or will not stop filling, and pressure switches that misread the water level. These are the most common call-outs, and the vast majority of them are repaired the same visit.
Heating and control faults: burnt-out heating elements and flow heaters, failed NTC temperature sensors, damaged control boards, broken wiring harnesses, and cycles that abort with an error code. We read the code off the machine, cross-reference it against the service manual, and replace only the component that is actually at fault – not the entire assembly it sits on.
Spray and mechanical faults: worn or blocked spray arms, clogged spray jets from hard-water scaling, failed circulation pumps and pump seals, worn door hinges and springs, and detergent dispensers that no longer open mid-cycle. These faults typically show up as dishes coming out dirty or the lower rack not being washed evenly, and almost all of them are a same-visit fix.
New Machine Installation & Re-Connection
If the machine is past economical repair we will tell you plainly – and, if you wish, install the replacement the same day. A proper installation is more than sliding the unit into the cabinet: we fit an aquastop inlet hose with a shut-off valve, secure the drain into a trapped standpipe or sink siphon at the correct height, level the feet so the door seats squarely, connect it to a dedicated socket, and run a full test cycle with water before we leave. For built-in models we also fit the decorative door panel, adjust the hinges, and verify the cabinet opening is correctly vented.
We also handle re-connection jobs after a move, a kitchen renovation, or a counter replacement – including cases where the existing hoses, filter, or standpipe have been disturbed by other trades. This is a small job but an easy one to get wrong: an unsecured drain hose, an over-tightened inlet coupling, or a siphon installed too high is a classic cause of flooring damage on the first cycle.
